Title from incipit: Sensuit lart et instruction de bien dancer; This copy has the date '1488' added to the colophon by a later hand, but Tholoze probably began to print 'at some time about the middle nineties' (BMC VIII p.xli); Smith, M.D. in A fifteenth century dancing book: 'Sur l'art et instruction de bien dancer' (Journal of the English Folk-Dance Society, Dec. 1937) attributes the work to Guillaume Guerson; Printed in red and black with initials rubricated by hand; Signatures: A-B6; Initial; tail-piece on Aiii recto at end of text; Illustration on last leaf verso; Music: Aiii verso-B[vi] recto; '[The] musical notes [were] printed from movable type on a four-line stave.' - viz.
